Ali Taner Baltacı
Ali Taner Baltacı was born in 1977 in Bafra. After graduating from TED Ankara Koleji, he studied Radio, Television and Cinema at Ankara University Faculty of Communication. He began his professional career at Böcek Yapım in 1999, working as a director and assistant director, while also directing commercials and music videos. Between 2001 and 2005, he played an active role in the establishment and development of BKM Film, where he managed the film department. During this period, he worked on the post-production processes of major productions such as Vizontele, Vizontele Tuuba and Organize İşler, and collaborated with Yılmaz Erdoğan on various projects.
Baltacı made his feature film directorial debut in 2006 with Hokkabaz, which he co-directed with Cem Yılmaz, followed by A.R.O.G. and Hadi İnşallah. He has also worked as a director on television and digital platform productions, including Atiye and Saygı. Continuing his work in the documentary field, Baltacı directed the Memleket İsterim documentary series, as well as a biographical documentary about Eli Acıman, one of the pioneers of modern advertising in Türkiye. He continues his career in advertising, cinema and television.
