Bahadır Karataş

Karatas, who founded ‘Filmpark’ in 2004, achieved great success with his first film, ‘The Master’, for which he directed and co-wrote. The film, starring Yetkin Dikinciler, Fadik Sevin Atasoy, Sevket Coruh and Hasibe Eren, won two ‘Golden Orange Awards’ at ‘The Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival’ in 2009. Karatas was deemed worthy of ‘The Special Jury Prize’ Bahadır Karatas also directed many acclaimed commercials.

He received the 'Best Director of the Year' award four times at the 'Crystal Apple' Festivals. THY's commercial, which tells the story of four village children's love for airplanes, was chosen as the "Best Commercial of the Week" in the world-famous ‘Adweek Magazine’. With this film, he won the 'Best Commercial Film Director Award' (Virtuoso Award) at the '2014 Golden Drum Festival'.

Karatas, who studied cinema and TV at Anadolu University for four years, completed his master's degree at the USC (University of Southern California) Faculty of Cinema Arts for three years and graduated with an MFA degree in 1998. Bahadır Karataş still lives in Istanbul.
